Keeping flowers...

I haven't been that good at planting a cutting garden. In fact, I didn't consider it at all when I picked out potentials at the nursery.

But, even so, there are interesting things to bring in for my desk -- never quite a typical bouquet, but lovely nonetheless.

A giant tripartite leaf of Jack in the Pulpit, which grows wild in the shady garden areas. It took me years to figure out what I was looking at, since most of the Jack in the Pulpit leaves I'd seen in the woods were about 1.5 inches or so. But, this Jack is high on compost - leaves are about 9-10 inches each.
